The Bear and the Dragon

I just finished reading Tom Clancy's The Bear and the Dragon. It's definitely vintage Clancy for what it's worth (I guess that depends on if you like his books đ).

Some really odd (linguistic) "blunders" that didn't feel like Clancy at all, but on the whole, a nice reading experience.
Jack Ryan takes on the duties of the American Presidency, manages to make good on old promises to Russian friends while keeping the "Chinese Dragon" at bay; you won't find a shorter summary than that of this book!
I liked "Red Rabbit" better; but neither hold a candle to some of Clancy's earlier works like The Hunt for Red October and The Cardinal of the Kremlin. I really did like Red Storm Rising too.
